WALGREENS shoppers have received letters warning about a future store closure as shoppers find their new pharmacy.
A Massachusetts Walgreens is slated to close at the beginning of November.
The location at 472 Lincoln Street in Worcester, Massachusetts, will close on November 9.
The city has five other Walgreens locations, according to Patch.
Customers who have prescriptions at the closing Walgreens locations received letters from the company warning about the impending store closure.
Their prescriptions will be transferred to the store on West Boylston Street.

"After careful consideration, we have decided to close your neighborhood Walgreens at 472 Lincoln St. in Worcester on Thursday, November 9, 2023," Walgreens wrote in the letter.
"We regret any inconvenience this may cause but hope to make the transition as seamless as possible."
WALGREENS WAVES GOODBYE
The Walgreens closure is part of a larger wave of pharmacy closures throughout the US.
Pharmacy retailers have looked to cut back store footprint after exploding their number of brick-and-mortar locations throughout the 2010s.

Walgreens originally announced plans to shutter 200 locations in 2019.
This year, the brand made plans to shutter another 150 locations.
Meanwhile, rival CVS decided it would shut down roughly 300 stores per year.
CVS' plans will end in 2024 after around 900 locations are closed.
Another rival, Rite Aid, is shutting down around 100 stores after the brand filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Rite Aid has racked up around $3.3 billion in debt and faces a raft of lawsuits alleging misdeeds in the opioid epidemic.

Other pharmacy brands pared down their Worcester footprint earlier this year.
CVS announced plans to shut down a location back in September.
The CVS location is located on the same street as the soon-to-close Walgreens.
The store is set to close on November 1.
CVS has eight other locations in the city.
Customers at the shuttering store had their prescriptions transferred to other area locations.
