A Look at Scotty Pippen Jr.s Seven Siblings and His Parents

American basketball player Scotty Pippen Jr. was raised alongside seven siblings, comprising both his biological siblings and step-siblings.

Scotty Jr. has three younger biological siblings: Preston, Justin, and Sophia Pippen. Preston was born on August 26, 2002, making him 21 years old as of this writing. 

He recently graduated from Sierra Canyon High School, a renowned institution known for being a prominent hub for high school basketball talent, including the offspring of current NBA stars such as LeBron James’s son, Bronny Jr.

According to Preston’s Instagram bio, he is a chef. He also has garnered an impressive following of 55.7k followers on his account. 

Similarly, the basketball player’s younger brother, Justin, was born on July 11, 2005, making him 18 years old. At the time of writing, he is enrolled at Sierra Canyon, the same high school that Scotty. Jr and Preston attended. 

Justin is also an active member of the Sierra Canyon Blazers basketball team. In addition to his passion for basketball, he has ventured into modeling. 

In 2016, he gained recognition by participating in the True Faces of the World campaign, a project showcasing children from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Moreover, the basketball player’s younger sister Sophia was born on December 26, 2008. At only 14 years old, she is often photographed alongside the children of other celebrities, including Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West.

Sophia has even ventured into the world of modeling, having signed with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency as part of their kid division. 

Additionally, she participated in Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, where she achieved a respectable 9th place alongside her dance partner, Jake Monreal.

Besides his biological siblings, Scotty Jr. also has two older half-siblings from his father’s previous relationship, named Taylor and Sierra Pippen. 

Taylor was born on July 20, 1994, to Scottie Pippen and his ex-girlfriend Sonya Roby. Initially, Scottie denied paternity, but after a DNA test confirmed he was the father, he agreed to provide financial support.

However, at present, Taylor has a strained relationship with her father. In a 2016 interview with the Spanish news outlet El Mundo, she revealed that her father never expressed a desire to meet her and did not treat her as his daughter.

As for Taylor’s professional life, she has found success in the finance industry and currently holds the position of Vice President at JPMorgan Chase, as indicated on her LinkedIn page.

Similarly, the basketball player has another step-sister, Sierra, who was born on February 17, 1995, to Scotty and his ex-girlfriend Yvette DeLeone. Similar to Taylor’s situation, Sierra’s father initially denied paternity, but he later acknowledged it through legal proceedings.

However, there is limited information available about her professional life, and it remains unclear whether she maintains a father-and-daughter relationship with Scottie.

Additionally, he had two other half-siblings, Tyler and Antron Pippen, but they tragically passed away. Tyler, who was Taylor Pippen’s twin sister, sadly lost her life on July 29, 1994, just nine days after their birth.

Similarly, Antron passed away on April 18, 2021, at the age of 34. However, the specific details regarding the cause of his death remain undisclosed. 

During his lifetime, Antron was a highly regarded college prospect who contributed his talent to both South Georgia Tech and Texas A&M International.

Scotty Jr. was born to NBA player Scottie and TV personality Larsa Pippen. However, his parents divorced in 2021, citing irreconcilable differences, and now they are successfully co-parenting their children.

Even though the basketball player maintains a good relationship with both of his parents, he seems to share a closer connection with his father. 

This was evident on September 30, 2022, when he posted a picture with his father and captioned it with “Hoop dreams, Los Angeles Edition,” tagging Scottie.

Similarly, on March 8, 2022, Scotty Jr. shared a video from one of his tournaments where his father was present to show his support. In the video, Scottie praised his son’s basketball talent and expressed how proud he is of him.

In the caption accompanying the post, Scotty Jr. wrote, “Family over everything.” Following the upload, one person commented, ‘Priceless moments,’ while another expressed, ‘Father Supporting His Son! Beautiful.'”

Scotty Jr. embarked on his basketball journey during his childhood, starting at Sierra Canyon High School and later continuing his career at Vanderbilt University.

Taking about Scotty Jr.’s passion for basketball from a young age, his father told People, “He had a ball like that probably since he was born. As a father, the ball was always around him.”

Similarly, when the basketball player declared for the 2021 NBA Draft, Scottie expressed his belief that his son had put in a significant amount of work to prepare himself for the journey ahead. 

He continued by saying he didn’t know how far Scotty Jr.’s career would take him but highlighted that his son still had three years of eligibility, providing the option to return for further experience and development.

Similarly, the basketball player openly acknowledged to People that while having a father in the NBA does attract added attention, it also comes with heightened expectations, as people anticipate him following in his dad’s footsteps. 

Nevertheless, he made it clear that he doesn’t let those expectations weigh on him; instead, he remains resolute in focusing on forging his path as a player.

Scotty’s father has also never pressured him to become a top player but has consistently supported his son. The basketball player shared that even during his college years, he used to talk with his father every day, and his father attended all of his games.
